The University Information Security and Policy Office's role is to promote secure information technology systems, services, and programs. Educational materials for campus providers, awareness programs for users, and development and/or sharing of industry best practices are key components, as are the development of new and updated IT policy, identification of architectural requirements, and coordination of security incident response and resolution.

Based on UI IT Policy and industry best-practices, this site provides an easy-to-use guide to help your system meet these requirements. The site also includes an link for Data Owners on how to determine the risk level for a new system, as well as links to referenced IT policies, ITS software, and how-to guides.
Additionally, please visit the Information Security Guide to view additional resources developed or collected by the Higher Education Information Security Council (HEISC).
